I have replicated the live account as a sandbox for improvement the functionality. We have created the account with administrative user: email@example.com and added 4 more user so taht we can create a same environment as live.
When we push contact on sandbox its response was not same a live site and it return unique customer_id but return duplicate name and email. see attached file for more clarification..
Please increase the sandbox expiry date .. and allow for next 30 days.

Thanks for getting in touch. Could you maybe provide a sample of the request that you are using to create/update these contacts?
If you know you want to update rather than create a contact, you can use a PUT request and provide the contact_id.
