Ability to retrieve contacts with limited properties?

I need to retrieve a list of contact ids and company names from the api. For this effort, I don't need ALL of the other properties provided. Is there some way to limit the properties returned? I believe I have searched everything in Swagger without finding anything, but I figured I would ask. Thanks.

We provide a REST API. So, unfortunately, it is not currently possible to select the returned fields.
