How to move existing Contact/Deal to other user

Hi ,

I had updated all contact / Deal through single user . Now we want to move some contact/ Deal to different user. Can you guide me so that my existing contact/deal smoothly migrate to other User.

What happens when we update Contact/Deal through different user?

Do you want to make this change through API call or directly in the browser?
In case of API call simply change owner_id attribute of the contact - this will reassign contact as well as deals from the old owner to the new one.
If you want to change contact owner in web application, simply open such contact, click owner name and from dropdown select new one.
